What more can we say, the girl's on fire! Having already placed highly with DJ-Kicks on year-end charts from NPR, Resident Advisor, Spin, Mixmag, LFTF & more, we've just learned that Maya Jane Coles' DJ-Kicks exclusive track "Not Listening" has taken "Best Underground Dance Track of 2012" at this year's WMC. We couldn't be happier! Congratulations Maya, and shout-out to all the DJs, editors, writers and fans who have supported her music.

We're pretty sure that if the need ever were to arise, A-Trak could always fall back on a career as a writer. From his tour diaries to his writing in the mainstream press, he excels at getting to the heart of the matter, and doing so in an entertaining fashion. It's fitting, then, that his two cents on the Deadmau5 / "All we do is press play" debacle are the first on the subject that we've chosen to share. Check out his thoughtful piece on Huffington Post. The Digitalism guys really hooked us up as far as new exclusive content on their DJ-Kicks. We already shared "A New Drug" with you, and now the guys have streamed a new track called "Simply Dead" via their Soundcloud. This one goes big, with a driving tempo and some low-end crunch that is clearly made for smashing dance floors. Check the band's Facebook for tour dates, and look for DJ-Kicks in just a few more weeks. Digitalism - Simply Dead by digitalism_official
Okay, seriously, is anything going to slow this girl down? Barely a fortnight after the release of he DJ-Kicks mix (which happens to be receiving rave reviews, thank you) the London producer already has a new brand new remix to offer, and it's a banger. Head over to XLR8R for the download, and don't miss Maya on tour all year (like we said, she never stops!).
Photek's masterful DJ-Kicks mix is out this week in North America, and is currently charting on the iTunes Electronic chart. He'll be hitting the road for a string of dates in the US to celebrate the release, including major electronic music festivals Together Boston, Symbiosis Fest, and the mighty DEMF. Having caught a taste in Austin, we're sure you won't want to miss the chance to see this man take to the decks!
